Pirouettes & Paradiddles
with Ballet 314 & STL Rhythm Collaborative​
9:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday
June 23-27, 2025
Grades: K-3
Come dance with professional dance ensembles, Ballet 314 and STL Rhythm Collaborative! Pirouettes & Paradiddles campers will enjoy interactive ballet and tap dance activities led by professional dancers from each ensemble. Campers will learn basic ballet and tap dance techniques while starting each day with a warm-up, stretching, and movement exercises. Activities will explore movement, music, story-telling, choreography, self-expression and so much more! Campers will present a showcase on Friday for their grownup to see all that they’ve worked on throughout the week.
Campers should bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle each day and wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. Dancers may wear socks or ballet shoes for the ballet portion of the day and tap shoes or clean sneakers for the tap dance portion of the day.

Pirouettes & Paradiddles Tuition:
Full Camp: $500 per student
Ballet 314 Camp only (9-11:45am, M-F): $300
STL Rhythm Collaborative Camp only (12:15-3pm, M-F): $300
All activities will be located at St. Louis Academy of Dance

SUMMER 2025 Class Line-up
Registration for our 5-week summer class session at St. Louis Academy of Dance will be open on
February 2, 2025. Session runs June 16, 2025 through July 18, 2025.
Intro to Tap for Kids
Ages 6+
Perfect for complete beginners or young dancers with minimal previous experience. Students will enjoy creating rhythmic patterns while learning introductory tap dance vocabulary and combinations. Students will work with STL Rhythm Collaborative faculty, who are also professional performers, to strengthen their balance, coordination, and musicality.
Class Time:
Tuesdays, 5:00-5:45pm
Teen/Adult Beginner Tap
Did you learn to tap dance when you were younger and want to get back to it? This class is perfect for you! STL Rhythm Collaborative instructors will introduce the basics of tap dance in a safe and supportive environment; focusing on building vocabulary, improving balance and coordination, and enhancing musicality.

Tuesdays, 5:45-6:45pm

Teen/Adult Intermediate Tap
Strengthen balance, stability, and footwork while honing tap dance skills in a comfortable, fun environment. Class exercises and combinations, led by STL Rhythm Collaborative instructors, will focus on strengthening musicality while building both your tap dance and music vocabulary. This level is recommended for students with at least 5+ years of previous tap dance training.

Tuesdays, 6:45-7:45pm

Teen/Adult Intermediate/Advanced Tap
Recommended for students with at least 7 or more years of previous tap dance training, STL Rhythm Collaborative instructors will offer methods for improved speed, timing, musicality, and articulation of the foot/ankle. In addition to footwork and presentation, classwork will also include discussion of past and present tap dance artists/masters and the practice of their contributions to the form.
