about stlrc
We are a nonprofit performing arts organization passionate about
connecting, educating, and inspiring artists of all ages through rhythm!

Our story began in 2017 with a group of professional dancers (now moSTLy TAP), working together to create performances that would boost enthusiasm for tap dance and encourage audiences to enjoy rhythm in new ways. The following year, moSTLy TAP collaborated with local musicians (now moSTLy JAZZ) to celebrate the relationship of music and dance through performance. The moSTLy TAP & moSTLy JAZZ ensembles began producing live performances at community engagements and venues throughout the area. In 2019, the community interest for education opportunities grew and the ensembles responded by developing a workshop program, led by leading area professionals, offering classes in dance and music theory for a variety of ages and levels. Passionate about providing accessible performing arts opportunities for all, the ensembles have expanded the scale of programs through the development of STL Rhythm Collaborative.

Our STLRC team is made up of professional performers, educators, and arts administrators. We are united by our shared passion for redefining how musicians and dancers collaborate - providing exceptional performing arts education that is accessible to all. Through the support of people like you, we are proud to connect, educate, and inspire our community through rhythm.

Our philosophy
We believe rhythm is within and all around us. Through our personal experiences with music, dance, and self expression, we guide others to develop their own connection to rhythm. As that connection deepens, people find their unique voice - creating an environment that ignites originality, builds relationships, and encourages collaboration.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide collaborative dance and music programming opportunities that connect, educate, and inspire artists of all ages through rhythm.
Our Vision
Our vision is to redefine the appreciation of live music and dance in the St. Louis area.
